On Saturday Sarah attended a public meeting in Drayton Institute concerning the Post Office. Over 2000 people signd the petition to save the Post Office in the Co-op but unfortunately as
at Twyford Avenue it was to no avail. However, local residents are now looking at whether a postal service agency could be set up in Drayton, staffed by trained volunteers for two or
three mornings a week, as happens in other areas in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Around 60 residents turned up and agreed to set up a steering committee to look into the feasibility. Sarah has committed to raise the issue in Parliament with the relevant Minister Pat
McFaden. The photo shows Sarah with Patrick Whittle, a trustee of Drayton Institute, who organised the meeting.
