Under new Immigration rules, people who want to become British citizens have to take a test to make sure they understand how our way of life here in the UK. Portsmouth is a test centre for the South of England and when Sarah visited the test centre she presented certificates to those people who had passed their test that day.

Sarah said "All of the applicants were very nervous, but they all passed. The test is not easy but I do think it important that people who want to become British citizens understand our laws and our democratic systems"
