Sarah is currently taking part in the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme.  The objective of the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme is to provide MPs with a real knowledge of the role and functions of the armed forces.

It helps MPs gain a broad view of military life at the highest levels. Sarah said:  "The AFPS will give me a real insight of how our Armed Forces, particularly the Royal Navy, work.  I hope that the experience will give me a good grounding in the industry which, after all, directly employs 17,000 local people and will help me continue to make the case for Portsmouth Naval Base."
