Sarah celebrates Eid with Portsmouth's African Community

Sarah celebrates Eid with Portsmouth Sudanese Society

On 14 October 2007 Sarah was invited to a special Eid party with members of the African community in Portsmouth.

Sarah said "I had a lovely time, each family had brought a different dish so there was a wide variety of delicious food. After the rigours of Ramadan after the rigours of Ramadan everybody was spiritually uplifted and in celebratory and party mood, particularly the children. It was so nice to see so many different cultures all celebrating together as one community."
