The Navy is currently undergoing a review of its naval base requirements which means examining the future of our naval base.

Sarah is keen that the Navy Board understand the wider importance of our naval base to jobs in the area and has tabled an Early Day Motion in the House, calling for the retention of Portsmouth as the home port for the majority of our surface fleet.

Sarah said “Portsmouth has been the premier naval port for many centuries and I will be working hard to ensure that it remains that way.”
